Business-friendly cell phone plans on the way

After some stumbling and bumbling — and losing a lot of subscribers last year – it seems that wireless carrier Sprint is going on the offensive to attract business users — especially small business users.
The company’s “Any Mobile, Anytime” is an unabashed overture to the small and mid-size businesses that can benefit from the pricing plan that offers unlimited connectivity to any mobile customer on any network in the United States.
The plan lets all users on an account pool anytime minutes and offers unlimited direct connections, and unlimited night and weekend calling starting at 7 p.m.
Sweet, eh? While Sprint’s the first carrier to offer this attractive deal, it’s unlikely that it will be the only one. Industry watchers anticipate that other carriers will follow suit quickly to avoid losing their SMB customers.
The forecast: Wireless pricing wars that benefit users in a big way.
Both AT&T and Verizon have been dominating the mobile scene in recent months with popular units and improved coverage for their network. Sprint seemed to be lagging further and further behind the big two.
This new pricing scheme may be a game changer, if other carriers don’t jump on the bandwagon quickly and offer competitive pricing.
