Dell breaks speed record for laser printers

Dell is calling the 5130cdn “the World’s Fastest Single-Function Letter Format Color Laser Printer.” That’s an accurate description, at least at the present moment.
But it is safe to say that Dell is offering a real powerhouse here, a 47ppm color printer at the street price of $1,549. This marks a big change for Dell, which had specialized in desktop and small-workgroup printers up to a few years ago, and which had been a follower, not a trailbreaker in the market.
A USB host port for flash drives is included. Ethernet (including Gigabit Ethernet) and USB connectivity are standard. PCL and PostScript are supported.
Maximum paper input is 2,900 sheets and all trays can handle paper over 110lb. index in weight.
There is a 500-sheet output tray, which can be upgraded by a second 500-sheet tray. Automatic duplex printing is standard.
Dell also provides color management and remote administration tools.
