Dell’s new desktop laser printer

Dell delivers a new laser printer that’s affordable and has a small footprint.
The 35ppm Dell 2230d Laser Printer is an entry-level desktop printer and sells for $199. Note that Ethernet is not included, but PCL and PostScript are supported.
Paper input capacity is adequate with a 250-sheet tray and a 50-sheet multipurpose tray. You can add an optional 250-sheet paper tray for a total of 550 sheets. Automatic duplexing is standard.
You will pay about 3.1 cents per page if you take advantage of Dell’s “Use and Return” program to recycle your cartridges. That’s rather high, but pretty common for entry-level machines.
This is a decent entry-level machine, but we recommend you spend the extra money and get the same-speed Dell 2330d, whose lower operating costs will more than make up the price difference within a year.
