It’s not the most obvious place to get your supplies, but a religious order in Wisconsin is one of the latest businesses to sell soy-based toner and ink.
The company is called Laser Monks. And it’s not just a catchy name — it’s run by an actual Cistercian monastery in Sparta, WI.
The monks started selling office supplies to generate revenue for the monastery, later offering soy-based options. Laser Monks is now one of the largest distributors of soy ink and toner in the U.S.
Bonus: For every order placed, the monks plant a tree and say a prayer for the customer.
