As more work gets done on the go using smartphones, the problem of printing from those mobile devices becomes more critical. Slowly but surely, printer makers are offering solutions.
Kodak recently announced the release of the new 6150 AiO all-in-one printer, which can connect to iPhones, iPads and BlackBerrys to print files.
The printer connects to mobile devices through WiFi. Printing requires the installation of an application on the mobile device — the free Kodak Pic Flick App is available from Apple’s App Store, and the corresponding BlackBerry software should be released soon.
Kodak’s unveiling comes shortly after HP announced a new line of printers that allow users to print from anywhere by sending a document to the printer’s dedicated e-mail address.
