New scanners from Canon come equipped with higher speeds and a strong software suite.
The Canon imageFORMULA DR-3010C scans at 30ppm in color and black-and-white. It brings higher speed and greater portability to the market at a price ($1,095) equal to earlier slower Canon models. It comes with both duplex and color capabilities.
The imageFORMULA DR-3010C comes with a 50-sheet document feeder. Connectivity is via a USB port.
One remarkable feature of this scanner is its compact size, with a length and width little bigger than a file folder, at around 12″ x 12″ dimensions. At 6.4 pounds, the DR-3010C is an ultra-portable model. At the same time, Canon claims that it is rugged, with heavy-duty components. This portability enables you to bring the scanner to the work, rather than the work to the scanner.
This machine comes with a strong suite of software starting with Canon’s own CapturePerfect image capture software that can be used to enhance scanned images and remove problems. This small machine offers lots of power and speed, thanks to Canon’s well developed set of features hone over many years.
