According to a recent survey, economic troubles haven’t eroded businesses’ desire to help the environment.
About 63% of small companies say environmental issues are as important to them as the economy, according to a recent survey by PayCycle, an online payroll services provider. More than a third of the executives surveyed said they are more concerned about the environment now than they were a year ago.
SMBs also recognize the effect of going green on the bottom line: 88% said being environmentally friendly is important for the success of their business.
And how are they moving in that direction? More than 80% said they’re trying to reduce paper usage, mostly by bringing more business processes digital.

There are services like http://www.inlattice.com that allows SMB to automate invoicing to payments using electronic transactions. This will save paper, mailing, writing checks, depositing checks etc. etc. – all paper based transaction.

Going green is always good! I hope several companies will get to consider this kind of standpoint.
