With Apple’s new iPad device being shipped this week, the question remains about how many companies will use the gadget for business. A recent survey says employees would like them to.
The main reason most people would want to own an iPad or other tablet PC is to work on the go, according to a recent survey by mobile software firm Sybase.
More than 52% of the 2,500 consumers survey said if they had a tablet device, its primary use would be work. In second and third place came watching movies and TV shows (48%) and playing games (35%).
Further, 75% of the people surveyed said devices like the iPad and smartphones make employees more productive.
The main reason: mobile access to work-related documents.
Does your organization plan on using the iPad for business purposes? Why or why not?
